Bluestone Lane Cafe

It’s a cause for a celebratory brunch every time my best friend (and fellow blogger) Alexa Curtis is in town. Alexa, who lives in Boston, is a brilliant and beautiful girl who started a fashion blog at the age of twelve. She shares my passion for trying out the latest and greatest health trends, and we both LOVE coffee, so we decided to visit Bluestone Lane, a chic cafe located at 55 Greenwich Ave (they have 12 locations between New York and Philadelphia — and they just opened in DUMBO, Brooklyn!) The cafe itself is beautiful. Blue and white linen napkins compliment the white marble tables, and there is a very earthy/zen vibe in the dining area. There are a few tables outside (perfect for when it’s sunny out) as well as a garden-style nook tucked away in the back of the restaurant. We chose to sit outside, and in typical fashion, we both glanced down at the menu and in unison proclaimed, “I definitely want to try the Rainbow Bowl!” So there we were, two old friends, with two almond milk lattes and two matching rainbow bowls, and we both agreed—we made the right choice. The salad boasts quinoa, spinach, cabbage, feta, house made salsa, herbed yogurt dressing and a poached egg on top! It really is a beautiful dish, and the portion is large enough to take a little home for a snack. After brunch we dashed to SoulCycle West Village, but next time I am going to stay for the gluten-free banana bread!
