Archer Hotel

Heading to New York City? You must spend at least one night at Archer Hotel. I recently celebrated my birthday here and they pulled out all the stops!

My favorite aspect of Archer is the service. The staff here is extremely helpful. For example: I swear to God I called room service FIVE times on Monday morning before work! These people are room service EXPERTS. Shaving cream, fine tooth comb, hair spray, tooth paste, listerine... forgot something? Don’t worry. They’ve got you. They even brought a roll of scotch tape up to my room when I needed to tape my birthday balloons together!

My second favorite part of the Archer experience are the VIEWS. I stayed in the “King Empire View Room” and the beautiful Empire State Building day gloriously right outside of my bedroom window. Don’t want to splurge on an Empire-View room? Don’t worry—the Spyglass Rooftop is open to the public and offers sweeping views of the entire city (and of course the Empire State Building!)

Some takeaways:

MINI BAR MUST-TRY: The gummie bears! I’ve never had better gummie bears and they’re only $4! Also note: they have Dylan’s Candy Bars!

BEST DRINK AT SPYGLASS ROOFTOP: The “Private Jet” is just as good as it sounds. Trust me. Hungry? Try the shrimp cocktail and steak toast. They bring the steak up from their delicious steakhouse downstairs.

ROOM SERVICE FAVS: Before bed, make sure you order their brownie a la mode. In the AM, get the bacon egg and cheese. It’s exceptional.

OTHER HIGHLIGHTS: The chic “His and Hers” Complimentary Slippers and Frette Robes. Malin+Goetz bath amenities. 5-Star bedding.
