The last few years I have visited Miami for the infamous Art Basel. Art Basel's three shows in Basel, Hong Kong and Miami Beach are the premier art shows of their kind, presenting modern and contemporary art with a strong curatorial perspective. Wondering how to plan your own Miami trip? Here are my tips!

WHEN TO VISIT: Art Basel is in early December, but Miami weather is great between December and April.

WHERE TO STAY: The Faena has the best art installations. It's like walking through a giant interactive gallery. If you don't live under a rock, you've already seen the photo of the giant 24k gold wooly mammoth titled 'Gone but not Forgotten' (2014) by Damien Hirst, which is installed in the garden of the Faena Hotel.

WHERE TO PARTY: Book a cabana at HYDE BEACH at the SLS Hotel for the best pool party in Miami. Everyone here buys drinks via a pitcher (try the "Sip Lovely" ($80) -- a delicious mix of Casamigos tequila, cointreau, lime juice, fresh watermelon and fresh cucumber juice. It's hydrating but will loosen you up.) The most memorable part of the pool party? When fifty bikini-clad bottle girls slipped on Darth Vader masks and sprayed champagne at guests while the DJ played an amazing set in front of fog machines. This place is LIT.

WHAT TO PACK: Supergoop’s full line of UV proof serums and sunscreens. My favorite product is the “Daily Correct CC Cream SPF 35+. It’s great for acne-prone skin and the coverage is very buildable. Plus it’s only $32. Buy it here.  Also great: "Perk Up! Lip and Cheek Treat" ($22) is a perfect pop of color for girls on the go. Don't worry, it's SPF 40.
